Libby Waterford is a friend and a best-selling author of ten contemporary romance novels, where lust always leads to happily-ever-after. Many are set in California, and, though I don’t read many romances, these are so well written that they’re hard to resist. Her latest is no exception.
Take a Bow, which
releases today, follows
Take Two as part of the Sawyer’s Cove series. The novel follows unconventional librarian Mimi Orlando and her no-strings fling Nash Speedwell, who happens to be her brother’s best friend and one of the stars of a television show that will be filming a new season in Mimi’s hometown of Misty Harbor, Connecticut. They both have issues they have to face, and therein lies the charm of this delightful book.
I imagined Libby writing these books in a romantic pink boudoir, but the truth turns out to be quite different! Here’s what she told me:

I write at a tiny counter-height table in my kitchen, which can be a busy spot to be, but I’m fairly good at blocking out the distractions afforded by two elementary-aged sons and a work-from-home husband. My trusty MacBook Air sits on a simple lucite riser to make everything more ergonomic, as I write several thousand words a day when I’m working on a new draft. Music is essential to my writing process–I make a specific playlist for each writing project, so when I hear it, my brain immediately goes into story mode, and that story in particular.

I also make a vision board every year to keep me inspired. I adore stickers and collage – a case in point, my laptop case. You can see my kitchen wall has been taken over by my garden inspiration collage, as well as a twelve-month calendar where I keep track of my deadlines.
I wrote the first draft of
Take a Bow at this desk in six weeks this spring and am excited to share this second full-length Sawyer’s Cove: The Reboot novel, after releasing book one, and two short stories in the series earlier this year.
Take a Bow – a steamy contemporary romance is out now in paperback and
